We build the WiFi layer nobody thinks about, and everybody uses.
Hotwireless is a South African WiFi and software business based in Constantia, Cape Town, working with hospitality, retail and transport clients across the country. We started as a connectivity provider. Over time we realised the real opportunity was not in selling internet, but in making the WiFi login itself a branded, useful part of the venue.
What we believe
A WiFi login is a conversation.
Every time a guest connects to your WiFi, you have their attention for a few seconds. They are already looking at their phone. They are already in your venue. They are already predisposed to like you, because they are using your service.
Most businesses waste that moment on a router default page. The good ones put their own name on it, ask for the details they are allowed to keep, and get a guest list out of it. That is the whole product thesis.
Where we work
Cape Town-rooted, nationally deployed.
Our offices are in Constantia, Cape Town. Our customers are everywhere — from Johannesburg CBD to Port Elizabeth schools, from Durban hotels to community projects in small towns.
We install hardware ourselves where practical and partner with local installers where not. Every site we run is looked after from our side by a qualified network engineer, so nobody at the venue has to. A single café and a group of hotels get the same service and the same support.
Principles we ship by
Four rules we don't bend on.
Guest privacy first
We collect the minimum data necessary. POPIA is a floor, not a ceiling. Guests can opt out or request deletion any time.
Honest product claims
We only sell what we can deliver on the day you sign. If something is still in pilot, we say so and we do not put it on the price list. No vapourware, ever.
The owner is the customer
The business owner pays the bill, so our job is to give them something they can point at. A fixed monthly fee, no usage-based costs, and cancellation on one calendar month of written notice.
Support that actually supports
Support runs Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 SAST. When you call you get a person who can see your router, not a queue that asks you to reboot it.
